Timeline of Events

October 2024 – Initial Inspection

  • The CQC inspected I Straker Consultants on 17, 18, 21 and 22 October 2024.

  • During a Microsoft Teams call that week, we were warned of “serious concerns.”

  • We were advised by a senior CQC representative to “not bother” challenging these warnings.

  • At that time, the improvements requested had already been implemented.

December 2024 – Promised Re-Inspection

  • The CQC told us they would return to re-inspect within six weeks (mid-December 2024).

  • This re-inspection never took place.

January 2025 – Follow-Up Chased

  • We contacted the CQC for an update.

  • We were told there were “delays” in scheduling a follow-up.

  • Despite this, the CQC chose to publish the draft report without reassessment.

April 2025 – Factual Accuracy Challenge Ignored

  • We submitted a detailed factual accuracy response, providing evidence of procedural errors and corrections.

  • The CQC acknowledged some points but refused to adjust any scores.

  • In fact, they appeared to reallocate marks to maintain an “Inadequate” outcome.

August 2025 – Refusal to Review

  • Despite repeated requests, the CQC refused to amend or review the rating.

  • More than 12 months after the original inspection, no follow-up has been conducted, leaving the initial report—and its inaccuracies—unchallenged in the public domain.
