Timeline of Events
October 2024 – Initial Inspection
The CQC inspected I Straker Consultants on 17, 18, 21 and 22 October 2024.
During a Microsoft Teams call that week, we were warned of “serious concerns.”
We were advised by a senior CQC representative to “not bother” challenging these warnings.
At that time, the improvements requested had already been implemented.
December 2024 – Promised Re-Inspection
The CQC told us they would return to re-inspect within six weeks (mid-December 2024).
This re-inspection never took place.
January 2025 – Follow-Up Chased
We contacted the CQC for an update.
We were told there were “delays” in scheduling a follow-up.
Despite this, the CQC chose to publish the draft report without reassessment.
April 2025 – Factual Accuracy Challenge Ignored
We submitted a detailed factual accuracy response, providing evidence of procedural errors and corrections.
The CQC acknowledged some points but refused to adjust any scores.
In fact, they appeared to reallocate marks to maintain an “Inadequate” outcome.
August 2025 – Refusal to Review
Despite repeated requests, the CQC refused to amend or review the rating.
More than 12 months after the original inspection, no follow-up has been conducted, leaving the initial report—and its inaccuracies—unchallenged in the public domain.
