Ishbel Straker, CEO & Founder
Ishbel Straker is a psychiatric nurse, and founder and CEO of I Straker Consultants. She is widely recognised as an expert in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, particularly in ADHD, autism, trauma, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, and depression. Her CV includes serving as the director of nursing and head of nursing for several organisations within an exemplary career spanning two decades.
She contributes regularly to public debates in mental health: writing a monthly column for the Liverpool Echo, contributing to Liverpool Law Society magazine, and writing for BSA Today. She is also an Honorary Clinical Lecturer supporting research and clinician training.
Under her leadership, I Straker Consultants has built a reputation for combining frontline clinical work with advocacy and public education. She has worked as an expert witness, advised on complex care, and supervised senior nursing staff in multiple organisations
